Top 5 formal work ladies styles

Here are our top 5 formal work ladies styles, in descending order of popularity and all available colours.

Number 1: Herring Sophia ladies hybrid-soled loafers in Black Calf

Herring Sophia is a light, flexilbe loafer made with care, by hand, in Italy using the finest calf leathers and sacchetto construction. The standout feature of this shoe, has to be the supple leather. It feels more like glove leather, it has been so carefully tanned, and the sacchetto construction allows the shoe to flex more than you would expect. This is a very complex process - it is like creating a bag inside the shoe - that only the best footwear makers can achieve. The sole is half-leather and half-rubber to give you some of the breathability and lightness of leather, combined with the durability and water resistance of rubber and is blake stitched to the upper. The heel provides a 20mm lift.

Number 2: Herring Scarlette ladies rubber-soled loafers

Scarlette is a super-soft and flexible loafer with a lovely horsebit trim on the top. The thin rubber sole is great for grip and the softness of the leather upper feels like a glove.

Number 3: Loake Palace ladies rubber-soled Oxfords in Black Calf

Number 4: Herring Claire ladies two-tone brogues in Brown Calf and Suede

Claire is a heritage piece made using traditional Goodyear-welting in the home of shoe-making, Northamptonshire. With the slightly raised heel, big brogue punching and subtle use of two textures, we think this has a contemporary edge. Of course, being welted, it is also possible to repair them many times, meaning that you can tread lightly on the planet too.

Number 5: Herring Jodie ladies rubber-soled Chelsea boots

Jodie is a Jodhpur boot brought up to date with subtle detailing such as gold buckled straps, thin rubber soles and a slightly lifted heel. Made in the heart of shoe-making country, Northamptonshire, using traditional Goodyear-welting techniques, these can be your favourites for years to come. To help you tread lightly on the planet they can be easily resoled at the factory so they look as good as new.
